Buy no construction equipment- until you have read this!

I was mad about cricket. Very little is more enjoyable than a front foot drive what passes the bowler to reach the boundary. (Unfortunately, I found a few other shots less natural – thus my cricket career was brief and somewhat fameless). As a youngster I managed to beg for the autographs of the rebel West Indian team. For years this was my most valuable possession. I could stare for hours at the autographs of Collis King or Sylvester Clarke. As student we ate and lived the 1992 World Cup tournament. We watched our team beat the then mighty West Indians until the wee hours of the morning– how Jonty Rhodes dived like a swallow to topple Inzamam’s wickets, and eventually witnessed how rain robbed us of a victory against England. (If I remember correctly, Brain Mc Millian had to score 16 runs from 1 ball).

Nowadays I take little notice of cricket. Maybe because a few bookkeepers already know which team is going to win this year’s World Cup? Maybe this has to do with the unbelievably sad life of Hansie Cronje (Until this day I have not yet had the courage to go and watch his movie). Maybe because the sport is now dominated by bling show ponies with diamond earrings and zebra striped tattoos (yes, Kevin Peterson, Herchelle Gibbs et al). The Peter Kirstens that gallantly sticked to their wickets with wry smiles while the Sylvester Clarkes try to bowl them to pieces are long gone. Maybe the arrogant Aussies with their sledging, unsportsmanlike behaviour and “innocent” pitch “reports” were the demise of the game that I loved.

The above trip down memory lane is to remind everyone that Qual-E-Quip Manufacturing remain passionate about construction equipment and that we are aware of the fact that arrogance, unreasonable behaviour or greediness on our part will drive away our clients. This is the very last outcome that we want. Therefore we have a somewhat old-fashioned approach to our clients in that you really mean a lot to us and that we realize our existence depends on you. We are aware of the difficult time out there. Should you not therefore consider us for quality equipment that is ready to work for you, at a portion of the cost of new equipment? Therefore you are again invited in 2011 to come and purchase affordable construction equipment from us.

Friendly Greetings
Qual-E-Quip Team
